What a delightful bean and a rare find! The Cibao has a sweet smooth character with a soft acidity and velvety mouthfeel. Toffee and hazelnut notes in the finish. Overall it’s a very smooth & easy drinker. Excellent as an espresso and so sweet as a filter.
The Cibaos are very close to the Atlantic Ocean and elevations range from 900 to 1,900 meters so here some of the country’s finest coffees are grown. Coffee harvesting begins in August and finishes in February.
